The kings birthday

It's the kings birthday tomorrow, and the whole city is like a giant carnival, all night live music, food everywhere on BBQ's.
Bought a ride from a motorcycle taxi today and that was totally crazy. Dodging through traffic on the back of a tiny motorcycle.
Woke up at dawn and wandered around the city. So many new smells and so warm here, a stroll at sunrise is unforgettable..
All the people I hung out with before I slept were still drinking and singing songs at the outdoor bars when I woke up. So I decided to join em.
Met a fella from south England and he gave me directions and advice for a good hostel on the Cambodian border, he had just returned from the route I've been planning.
Bangkok is very easy to get around in, I even hung out with the police Chief of the local district today, he just walked up and started chatting so we commenced to talkin, he was telling me all about his history and what he loves about Thailand. After about 15-20 minutes, (I was actually on my way somewhere, but he flagged me down saying hey man, where you from? and who ignores the police chief??)
I told him, ya know in my country we don't usually have half hour talks with strangers...
No hurry is the motto here, and I'm diggin it for sure...
