If you don't mind wooden benches or sitting on the floor while food peddlers step over you, you can buy a train ticket that will take you two hundred miles for 28 bhat (.80 cents)
I love riding these trains, I usually sit on the exit stairs, no door, with the wind blowing and jungle and villages flying by.
It's a great way to see the backcountry here.
