Yummy

Well, here's the moment we've all been waiting for... Bugs for dinner! Now I'd like to say it's my first grasshopper but those of you that have fought forest fires knows it's common entertainment to pay rookies to eat the nastiest bug you can find, BUT, it is my first bug with salt.
First all, believe it or not they taste good, but I have to admit, popping those puppies into my mouth almost made hurl.
Even cooked they have lots of innards, and the legs are like chewing sunflower seed shells.
But, bravery is the name of the game here, and now I know that if I ever do get in a tight spot, grasshoppers and a campfire should get me through...
The vender had a giant wad of grasshoppers, and an ungodly assortment of grubs and maggots. Absolutely horrific, but what a blast!
