On the road again

I got sick of trying to get overpriced taxis to take me to places i couldnt pronounce so I Rented a great rig for 7 days and it only cost 200 bucks!
It's some kind of 1990's Suzuki SUV.
It can barely climb a good hill, but It's gas mileage appears to be comparable to a 4 wheeler.
Plus I can sleep in it!
Oh ya! now this is how I like to travel.
One of the reasons I'm enjoying traveling alone is because in my opinion, it's more fun to camp or sleep in my truck or on a beach than to stay in a motel any day.
I really don't feel like I'm having fun unless I'm roughing it.
So anyway, this little journey is right up my alley.
I searched for beaches all day yesterday, and finally drove till I was to tired to drive, at that point, I found a dirt road off the highway and just fell asleep leaned back in the front seat.
When I awoke, I was surrounded by thick jungle beside an ocean bay and thousand foot limestone mesas that were stunning to view at dawn.
Plus, the monkeys were playing nearby, I couldn't get a pic, but it started my day out right.
Next, I Drove a little ways down the road and a local flagged me down. "you want boat? see cliffs? 4000 bhat!" ( 70$)
"no, no no"
I've already learned to ignore these guys..
"ok 3000!" no, Kop Koon kup. (thankyou)
I started to leave and he says kinda desperately "sir ok 1,500 bhat! 1 hour tour" (30$)
Suddenly I was intrigued. I agreed.
Why not, I'm on an adventure, thats my price range, let's check it out!
Well, due to the ensuing haggle, hustle or hassle, however you might see it, I accidentally boarded his vessel without a camera.
Big mistake.
He took me out to these enormous pillars of rock in the ocean, showed me caves, and 1000 year old pictographs of dolphins and fish painted on the cliff walls.
Plus the boat was an old Thai long boat. (google it, but whatever you do, don't sail the ocean in it!)
It was great!
The waves were huge, the wind was rippin, I was getting soaked, the sun was shining, it really brought me back to boating with my folks as a kid, and I had a huge grin the whole time.
Great morning.
In fact I had so much fun that when we docked I gave him some more money.
He couldn't believe it because I made him promise not to charge me more when we left.
He was so happy he laughed like a little kid. I think the guy was actually hurting for money. Made me feel good.
Good times...
Here's a picture of something they don't sell at home, cantaloupe juice!
Mmmm, really good, even though it looks like it might glow in the dark.
Also I went hiking in the jungle and saw rubber some rubber farms.
They peel these trees and a white sap drips into a cup hung by wire to the tree.
The woods are also scattered with these huge clay jars to collect the sap in.
