Well every day I ride a train to a different station and spend the day wandering. I'm usually pretty lost but today I was VERY lost!
I got off the train, wandered about three miles and then caught a taxi, after driving about 10 miles I still couldn't communicate good enough to point the old man to my destination, so I hopped out on a corner and started hoofing it.
After wandering around some super poor districts for many hours I decided to hire a motorcycle to get back to my room. Unfortunately, that Didn't happen. Even when showing my destination on a map they all just looked at me blankly like I was crazy
( and I must be!)
So I walked and walked and finally saw a part of Bangkok I recognized.
I caught a taxi and on the way to my hostel a power line fell across the road!
I thought, great, now we are stuck here. In America they would block off the whole block.
Instead everyone, my taxi, and city buses even, just started driving over the part of the wire on the ground, and squeezing under the part hanging in the air. Wow, "safety first" is not a common mentality here...
Here's some pics of what I saw today
