For 300 baht (about 11 bucks) I will travel 130 miles on a train to one of thailands oldest cities, Lopburi.
The main reason I want to visit this area, besides the fact that it is filled with ancient ruins, is because the locals consider monkeys to be a holy animal, They feed them and have a celebration where tables are covered in food and the monkeys are allowed to feast, and word is, the whole town is overrun with monkeys.
As some of you might know I LOVE MONKEYS.
Seriously, I don't even really know why, I think its cause they look and act like little humans, and have personalities and huge human looking ears.
Creepy I know, But I cant get enough of monkeys.

My favorite part of my Costa Rica trip was when a gang of little rude monkeys came rolling in from the jungle and raided our garbage cans. I could watch them all day.
Well, supposedly most of the monkeys inhabit an ancient temple ruin nearby the town so I plan on exploring the ruins and watching wild monkeys.
Its a rural town out in the jungle,so I mainly intend to get out of this crazy city, hit a nice little country town overrun by crazy monkeys and crazy monkey worshipers and have some fun.
As I head into northern Thailand its comparable to heading into the mountain towns of america, so Im not sure how many opportunities for internet I will have. If I dont post again for a few days its because Im hitting the backwoods and I should be near a connection again soon.
Believe me when you see my awesome monkey pictures you to will be a monkey lover like me :)
see ya soon!!
Here are some more Bangkok pictures.
On the King's birthday everyone lights a charcoal attached to paper sacks, the hot air from the burning charcoal causes the bag to float away, and soon the air is filled with hundreds, if not thousands of glowing floating paper bags its the neatest thing Ive ever seen.
